North Shore Warriors (0) vs St. George’s School (5) U17 Prep
St. George’s outshot North Shore 21-8 in the first but it took until the final 14 seconds for Nathaniel Moore (2G, 1A) to finally breakthrough. Moore would double the lead 8:57 into the second as part of a four-goal period from the home side. Logan Okamura, Felix Hang and Tarik Lammam added the other goals to round out the scoring in the frame. Joffrey Chan (29/29) and Ashton Sims (55/60) kept clean sheets in the third, with Chan’s 29 saves securing his first shutout of the season.
STAR Hockey Academy (0) vs St. George’s School (4) U15 Prep
Nick Hill (3G) and Cohen Wood (21/21) led St. George’s to victory as Hill recorded a hat-trick and Wood posted his first shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over STAR. Hill hit double digit goals on the season with a power play marker with 29 seconds left in the opening period. He would score his second 8:16 into the second period before Luca Rogers (1G, 1A) scored his fifth of the campaign to give his team a 3-0 lead going into the third. Hill would complete the hat-trick with another power play goal midway through the third. Lucas Kautz (41/45) made 41 saves in the loss.
BWC Academy (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (1) U15
A power play goal from Weston Patrick gave Delta Black a 1-0 lead midway through the first period. BWC Academy would come alive in the second as Alex Iaichkin (2G) scored 2:40 in before adding a power play goal of his own 1:01 later to put his team in front. Delta Black would get a late second period power play opportunity to try and tie the game, but it was Owen Chapman (1G, 1A) scoring shorthanded with 2:40 left in the frame, doubling the BWC Academy lead. Lachlan Beatty (30/31) and Holter Karpiak (23/26) kept clean sheets in the third as the game ended 3-1 in favour of the visitors.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4/OT) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep
Cole Landreville opened the scoring for Pilot Mound on the power play 6:11 in but Keegan Bragnalo responded for RHA Winnipeg just 19 seconds later. Collin Friedrich (2G) restored the Pilot Mound lead with another power play goal 55 seconds into the second. RHA Winnipeg would take the lead heading into the third as Atticus Cruz (2G, 1A) and Sam Grunewald scored late in the second. Friedrich would tie the game and force overtime with his second of the night and seventh of the season with 1:13 remaining. In OT, Cruz fired his second of the game past Zackary David (42/46) to give RHA Winnipeg the 4-3 win. Chase Charriere (26/29) made 26 saves to record the win.
Balmoral Hall School (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (7) Female U18 Prep
RHA Winnipeg came out firing on all cylinders, getting goals from Madilynn Frey, Sydney Stibbard (1G, 2A), Georgia O’Neill (1G, 1A), Rowyn Street (1G, 1A) and Ava Hrubeniuk (2G, 2A) to take a 5-0 lead. The RHA Winnipeg dominance continued in the second as Sterling Lynch (1G, 1A) scored on the power play and Hrubeniuk scored shorthanded. Jakia Curle would breakthrough for Balmoral in the third, ruining the Mars McHenry (29/30) shutout bid with 11:58 remaining.
Mount Academy (1) vs CIH Academy (5) East U18 Prep
Drake Bosum scored a power play goal, his first goal of the season, 6:08 in as CIH Academy grabbed an early 1-0 lead. Beckett Kristensen and Nikita Lozhenitsyn added even strength markers 3:08 apart to extend the CIH Academy advantage heading into the second. Special teams would be the difference in the second as Ricky Deslauriers (1G, 1A) scored shorthanded and Tucker Clare scored on the power play for the home side. Mount would get on the board late in the game as Jace Hynes ended the Jacob Kirstein (33/34) shutout bid with 1:30 remaining. Andrei Chumakov (3A) led all skaters with three points.
